Glitter boats, hot foot motors and the trailers under them. Say the hull, the horsepower and what you paid.

morning. i am curtis, i fish out of Russellville on Dardanelle and i am the guy who will be dragging your posts to the right board. this place is for people who own a fiberglass bass boat, are about to buy one, or keep somebody else's running. aluminum guys are welcome, you just have to tolerate the talk about metalflake.

there are three boards and that is on purpose.

On the water is the fishing. what the lake is doing, what they bit, club draw results, how cold the water is and what you wore. if you post a tournament report, put the lake, the date, the water temp and your weight. somebody will want all four.

Motors, graphs and trailers is everything bolted to the hull or rolling under it. jack plates, props, Power-Poles, Ultrex versus Ulterra arguments, which Humminbird talks to which Minn Kota, bearings, bunks, lights. if it has a serial number it goes here.

Buying and auctions wants numbers. what it cost and who you got it from, a dealer, a marketplace ad, a bank repo, an estate sale, a guy's yard in Mississippi. a buying thread without a price in it gets a note from me asking for the price.

house rules, short version:

  • hull, year and motor in the first line of any question. a Z520R with a 250 and a Z518 with a 200 are not the same boat when you ask about prop pitch.
  • no spot burning by name on somebody's home lake. "a main lake point" is plenty.
  • if a dealer, a builder or a marina signs your paycheck, say so in your post. nobody minds, they just want to know.
  • no classifieds. pasting a link to a public listing to argue about price is fine.
  • be decent about other people's brands. Ranger people and Skeeter people have to share a ramp.

accounts are by email request for now. the address is on the contact page. tell me the boat and roughly where you launch and you are in.

glad somebody finally did one of these that is not 90 percent kayak posts. i fish a Sunday draw on Toledo Bend most weeks and a Thursday night thing on Sam Rayburn when my knees let me.

one request. can we keep a running thread for the club draw results so the trip reports do not bury the actual questions. i will post ours every week if somebody else does theirs.

signed up because my username is my life story. 2011 Triton 20 XS, OptiMax 225, and a trailer whose left tail light has failed four times since june. i will be in the rig board a lot.

curtis, the email thing worked, took a day and a half. for anybody wondering whether it is a real person on the other end, it is.
